Mayor visits East Boston to promote energy-efficiency program

The Mayor spent St. Patricks Day promoting another green cause in East Boston, marking the launch of the city’s three satellite offices for the city’s energy efficiency program, reports www.Boston.com.
“Our climate-change work is about reducing our carbon footprint, yes, but it’s also about helping children who suffer from asthma [to] breathe better,” the mayor said. “It’s about reducing energy costs for homeowners. It’s about creating new green jobs. We can’t let the technical elements of climate change overshadow the personal ones.”
