Ready to get started?
First, let’s find out if your house is a good candidate for solar. Next Step Living will do a quick, remote assessment of your roof by looking at satellite photos of your property. If your roof looks good, you can then schedule a free, at-home solar consultation with a Next Step Living solar advisor, who will survey your property to evaluate whether a solar power system will fit with your home’s architecture and meet your energy needs. It’s that easy. Depending on the design of your roof and the number of panels installed, your solar installation may take four to six months.
What is Renew Boston Solarize?
Renew Boston Solarize is a community initiative of the City of Boston in partnership with Next Step Living, the solar installer. The program is designed to bring competitively priced solar PV to homeowners in Boston. Whether you want to purchase a solar system or if you are interested in a Power Purchase Agreement, Renew Boston Solarize provides rates that are affordable and a streamlined process for purchasing a system through a new loan product.
How does the program work?
Renew Boston Solarize makes it affordable and simple to make the switch to clean solar energy by leveraging the power of the community. The Renew Boston Solarize Program allows qualified homeowners to install solar systems with little upfront cost, and a monthly solar payment plan that can be less than what you are currently paying for electricity. Homeowners also have the option of purchasing the solar panels for maximum long-term savings. There has never been a better time to go solar!
Will solar work on my home?
The two biggest factors are the amount of sunlight you get throughout the day and the amount of open roof space. We can give you a quick assessment by looking at satellite photos of your property to determine if your home is good for solar. It is that simple! If your roof looks good, you can schedule a free solar consultation where one of our experts will survey your site to evaluate if a solar power system will fit with your home’s architecture and meet your energy needs.
