$40 Instant Rebate on Air Conditioners

Mass Save is working with a select list of participating retailers to offer a $40 instant rebate on ENERGY STAR certified room air conditioners. If you need air conditioning to keep your home comfortably cool when the weather heats up, then choosing an energy-saving air conditioner that’s the right size for the room you need to cool could help protect you from a very expensive summertime electricity bill.

Here are the steps to follow to receive the instant rebate:

• Check your eligibility. If you pay an electric bill to Eversource, National Grid, Cape Light Compact, or Unitil, then you are eligible for this rebate.
• Watch this video about how to choose the correct size air conditioner for your needs.
• Find a participating retailer near you by referencing the retailer list below (or the full, statewide list on-line.) This instant rebate is only available at participating retailers.
• Select an ENERGY STAR certified room air conditioner. Look for the ENERGY STAR logo to determine if a model is ENERGY STAR certified. You can also find a full list of ENERGY STAR certified room air conditioner models here.
• Provide information requested by the retailer to verify eligibility. (Call ahead to find out if you need to bring any documentation.)

It’s that simple, you save $40 instantly and then stay cool while saving energy and money on energy costs. (Limit two room air conditioner rebates per eligible household.)
