Residents Lower Fuel Bills

The city of Boston officially launched its energy efficiency initiative, Renew Boston, in a first-of-its-kind partnership with utilities NSTAR and National Grid. The innovative network coordinates City government with energy efficiency and alternative energy service providers NSTAR and National Grid along with for-profit and non-profit partners to help Boston residents, businesses, and institutions save energy and money, and to create jobs.

NSTAR Vice President of Customer Care, Penni Conner, states, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Mayor Menino and the City of Boston on the Renew Boston project….By building on the funding currently available through NSTAR’s efficiency programs, Renew Boston will help an even larger number of City residents and businesses reduce their energy use.”
