Attend a Renew Boston workshop to learn more about you can shrink your heating and electricity usage today.
NSTAR’s electricity rates will increase beginning January 1, but Boston residents living in buildings with four or fewer apartments can save money and energy immediately by taking advantage of a free Home Energy Assessment offered through Renew Boston.
Renew Boston is hosting four workshops in January to help residents and landlords find ways to cut out wasted energy in their homes. The January workshops feature presentations in English, Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, and Vietnamese, and the workshop on January 14 includes a presentation specifically for landlords and property managers. Renew Boston workshops are always free and open to the public. Anyone who rents or owns a single-family home or an apartment or condo in a building with 4 or fewer units is encouraged to attend. Children are also welcome, and snacks will be provided. Details for each workshop are provided below.
EAST BOSTON: Tuesday, January 13 at 5:30pm - East Boston Social Center, 68 Central Square, East Boston, MA 02128. Co-sponsored by East Boston Ecumenical Community Council and NOAH CDC. Presentations offered in Spanish and English.
DOWNTOWN: Wednesday, January 14 at 6pm - Co-sponsored and hosted by Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership, 125 Lincoln Street, Boston 02111. This presentation is specifically geared for landlords and property managers, but all are welcome. Spanish translation available.
ROXBURY: Wednesday, January 21 at 6pm - Co-sponsored and hosted by Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, 504 Dudley Street, Roxbury, MA 02119. Workshop offered in Cape Verdean Creole and English, with Spanish translation available.
DORCHESTER: Saturday, January 24 at 10am - VietAID, 42 Charles Street, Dorchester, MA 02122. Workshop offered in Vietnamese and English, with Spanish translation available.
